TEACHERS EXPERIENCE NOSTALGIC TIME

Retired teachers have fun together...

They laugh together...

They cry together...

They serve together...

Some travel together...

Others yearn for former happy times together

As they glide up and down

Round and round

Long before eventide

Upon their favorite nostalgic ride.

They've done their best

As their students do attest.

The carousel is one of their favorite magical places

Confirmed by smiles and happy faces

While still believing

As they appear to be weaving

And recalling their dreams

In an attempt to again bring them to life, it seems.

But on this cool June morning of spring

Joy was found in such a simple thing!

Up and down

Round and round

Smiles galore--

Teachers wanting to ride majestic wooden horses once more!!!

Now ten Patrick County retired teachers can boast

That the twirling carousel ride is still grandiose!!!

And later, looking like childhood clones

Slurping on cherry ice cream cones

While oohing and aahing about crafts and more

Like former young students in a candy store!!!

What a delight!

All had fun at the Blue Ridge Passage Resort site!
